FROM WHITE HOUSE TO WALL STREET - A former director of economic policy at the White House, a managing director of the $15 billion Tiger hedge fund, and an award-winning economics teacher at Harvard, Buchholz targets his entertaining remarks to the cutting edge of economics, finance, and business strategy. He has advised President Bush, and is a frequent commentator on ABC News, PBS, and CBS, and recently hosted his own special on CNBC. Buchholz has debated such luminaries as Lester Thurow and Nobel Laureate Joseph Stiglitz. He is Co-Founder of Enso Capital Management, LLC and Co-Founder and Managing Director of Two Oceans Management, LLC. Buchholz is a contributing editor at Worth magazine, where he writes the “Global Markets” column, and he has penned articles for the
New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and Reader’s Digest. He delivered a lecture at the White House entitled “Clarity, Honesty and Modesty in Economics,” and has been a keynote speaker before such groups as Microsoft, Citibank and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Henry Chesbrough is a professor at UC Berkeley’s Haas Business School, where he teaches and runs the Center for Open Innovation, a center on managing innovation and intellectual property. Henry has a unique background as both a practitioner and as a researcher. He spent ten years in senior product planning and strategic marketing positions in Silicon
Valley. Equally at home in product marketing and sales, in engineering and technology, and in academic research, his current work brings all these worlds together. Steven Buchsbaum, Ph.D., M.P.I.A, Deputy Director, Global Health Discovery, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

Dr. Buchsbaum received a Ph.D. in Physics and a Master of Pacific International Affairs from the Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Buchsbaum has served in the U.S. State Department as the Science and Technology Officer for South Asia as a Program Manager in the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, and was the Founding Director of the Office of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive Defense in the Homeland Security Advance Research Projects Agency of the Department of Homeland Security. He was selected and served as a Science and Diplomacy Fellow at the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He was also selected as an American Physical Society Congressional Fellow, and has been registered into the U.S. Foreign Service. Dr. Buchsbaum is currently the Deputy Director for Discovery Strategy at the Global Health program at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Bob Casale, Former Chief Operating Officer, Adams Respiratory Therapeutics

Bob Casale is currently a consultant and serves on the Board of Topaz Pharmaceuticals, a specialty pharmaceutical company. Formerly, Bob was Chief Operating Officer of Adams Respiratory Therapeutics. Mr. Casale joined Adams in 2004 as vice president, business development and consumer marketing and subsequently, was named executive vice president, chief marketing and development officer in 2005. He was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in October 2006. Bob was the driving force behind the marketing of Mucinex, which grew from $60 million to near $400 million under his leadership. He also led the diversification of the Adams portfolio of products by launching Mucinex D and DM, Mucinex for Children, Mucinex Nasal Spray and acquiring the Delsym brand. Adams was sold to Reckitt Benckiser in January of 2008 for $2.3 billion.

David Steinberg is a Managing Director and senior research analyst covering the Specialty Pharmaceuticals sector at Deutsche Bank (formerly Alex. Brown). During the early 1990’s, David was one of the first analysts on Wall Street to identify the drug delivery/ emerging pharmaceuticals sector as a major growth opportunity for institutional investors.
